The score is part of your application process to the BC PNP, which is:

  • Create a BCPNP Online account and register yourself into the system.
  • After registering, you will receive a score.
  • The score is based on Human Capital Factors and Economic Factors, which include:

    • Education
    • Language proficiency
    • Wage
    • Location in BC

What is the BC PNP Skills Immigration Program?

With all this knowledge about how to apply, you might be wondering what exactly this program is. This program is part of British Columbia’s scheme to guide applicants towards permanent residency in the province.

An important detail to note is that some of the programs have an Express Entry BC (EEBC) choice. Eligibility for this depends on:

  • If you are in the federal Express Entry pool already and;
  • You qualify for one of the Skills Immigration streams listed above.

How long will I have to wait for an invitation to apply to permanent residency?

The initial registration of your BC PNP application remains valid for 12 months. After receiving an invitation, the applicant has 30 days to submit a completed application.

The Skills Immigration program is one offshoot of the BC PNP. Applicants seeking permanent residency in British Columbia may also find the Entrepreneur Immigration program valuable.
